Assembler 2Job DescriptionThe Assembler 2 position performs disassembly, assembly, re-work, and minimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipment.
Job Core Responsibilities? Use electric soldering equipment to the IPC-A-610B, Class 3 standard? Cut, prepare and pre-tin wires, prepare batteries, Apply conformal coat, marking and adhesive bonding? Follow written and verbal instructions? Complete work according to instructions, specifications and procedures, under direct and/or limited supervision? Perform a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and procedures? Conduct inspections of own and/or other associates work to insure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawing? Maintain a clean and orderly workstation adhering to 6S standards? Maintain an acceptable attendance and safety record? Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and procedures? Additional job duties and tasks as needed? Assist other departments with job duties, tasks, training, and development as needed? Complete additional job duties and tasks as assigned and instructed by Lead Tech / SupervisorJob SpecificationsEducation:
Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in an electronics/manufacturing environment or completed OJT training for at least 5 productsSkills:
? Able to read and comprehend regulations and instructions in English? Effective oral and written communication? Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed? Proficient in using the tools, equipment, and inspection aids applicable to the scope of work assigned? Use hand tools, power tools and electric soldering gun? Lift and Carry up to 30lbs? Able and willing to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and pass all related drug/alcohol screenings? Able to perform complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operation? Capable of solving problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures? Skilled at simple welding tasks and/or brazing, or soldering? Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures? Experience with MS Office Suite? Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts? Approximately 90% sitting and 10% standing/walking about in-door Company facilities?
