Job Title - FAA - Production Assembler 2Job Location - Oro Valley, AZ 85755Shift - 1stDuration - 6 Months (Temp to Hire)Positions - 1Job DescriptionThe Assembler 2 position performs disassembly, assembly, ref-work, and minimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipment.
Job Core ResponsibilitiesAbility to use electric soldering equipment to the J-STD standard.
Cut, prepare, and pre-tin wires, prepare batteries, Apply a conformal coat, marking, and adhesive bondingFollow written and verbal instructionsComplete work according to instructions, specifications, and procedures, under direct and/or limited supervisionPerform a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and proceduresConduct inspections of own and/or other associate's work to ensure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawingMaintain a clean and orderly workstation adhering to 6S standardsMaintain an acceptable attendance and safety recordAdhere to all company guidelines, policies, and proceduresAdditional job duties and tasks as neededAssist other departments with job duties, tasks, training, and development as neededComplete additional job duties and tasks as assigned and instructed by the Lead Tech / SupervisorJob SpecificationsEducation:
A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.
Certifications:
Vocational training, apprenticeships, or the equivalent experience in a related fieldYears
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in an electronics/manufacturing environment or completed OJT training for at least 5 products.
SkillsGood mechanical aptitudeAble to operate a variety of hand tools and light machineryCapable of performing basic mathematicsAbility to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies, and procedureGood manual dexterity is required to work with small partsAble to problem-solve using existing procedures to perform straightforward tasksEffective oral, written, and interpersonal skillsPhysical RequirementsApproximately 90% sitting and 10% standing/walking about in-door Company facilities.
Lift and Carry up to 30 lbs.
Use hand tools, power tools, and electric soldering guns.
Use head and neck in a static position, looking up/down and side-to-side.
Perform major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both hands.
Perform light lifting from the floor, table, and shelf.
Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded.
Minimal:
heavy lifting from the floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling.
Minimal:
exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, and uneven walking surfaces.
